Cafeteria Guidelines and Information
Guidelines Concerning Meals Brought From Home
Packets, containers, cans, etc. that are brought from home for lunch or snack, will not be opened by any member of the kitchen staff.
Eating utensils, napkins and condiments are not provided to students who do not purchase school lunch or snack. These items should be packed with your student’s lunch and snacks. In the event your student does not have any of the above mentioned items, they are available for purchase for .25¢ each.
Per the Alabama Department of Health, lunches and snacks brought from home CANNOT be heated or refrigerated in any area of the kitchen. There will be NO exceptions concerning this regulation.
If your student intends on purchasing snacks or drinks from machines in the cafeteria, they must bring their own change to make those purchases. The kitchen staff can longer, under any circumstances give change for the machines. Doing so in the past, has proven to be problematic for the cafeteria staff and effects their ability to provide change to the students purchasing school lunches and snacks. However, there are a variety of snacks and drinks available to purchase through the cafeteria. It is our goal to provide both hearty and healthy snacks and lunches. We look forward to hearing from our new and returning students on what yummy snacks and lunches they would like to see introduced throughout the year.
If you have any questions concerning school cafeteria policies, please do not hesitate to ask a memeber of our cafeteria staff.
We look forward to a wonderful year providing delicious snacks and lunches for your student.
