ECA Receives AISA Blue Ribbon Award
Evangel Christian Academy has attained the Alabama Independent School Association Blue Ribbon designation for
the 2016-2017 school year.
A Blue Ribbon School award winner is a school of excellence involved in an on-going process of school improvement.
The selection of ECA to the program is evidence that our school has attained a high level of achievement in the areas of student and teacher performance, plant and facilities, student life and community involvement, said Mrs. Ceil Sikes, ECA principal.
“Being distinguished as an AISA Blue Ribbon School this year means what has been known all along by the ECA family,” Sikes said.
“Our teachers do an outstanding job. They set their goals high and excellence is what we have come to expect at Evangel Christian Academy. We take education seriously here.”
This year, 34 schools were recognized as Blue Ribbon Schools.
“That is a good indicator that we are all striving in the right direction on a continuing basis. We are extremely encouraged in the mission of ECA and the people who make it happen each and every day.”
Sikes said that since 1970 the AISA has been steadfast in its efforts to maintain an organization of independently operated, non-public schools that are rich in diversity, committed to academic excellence and deeply concerned about the growth and development of young children.
