Fellowship of Christian Athletes
According to www.fca.org the Fellowship of Christian Athletes challenges coaches and athletes to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA is the largest Christian sports organization in America. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ. The purpose of FCA is to combine people's passion for sports with their passion for Christ, and teach them that those two worlds don't have to be separate.
We live in a sports-crazed world. Sports, in some capacity, are a part of almost everyone’s life, whether it's playing, watching, coaching or cheering. Sports are a part of our culture but what if there's something more to it all? Competing for yourself and your own glory shouldn’t be what it’s about. That's where the Fellowship of Christian Athletes comes in. FCA is the heart and soul in sports. It's working in the sporting community to impact the world for Jesus Christ, and it's doing this by ministering to those on the inside, the coaches and athletes.
The FCA Vision
To see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches.
The FCA Mission
To present to athletes and coaches and all whom they influence the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.
